Heirloom Tomato French Bread

This week has been a different one for the books. As of this past Monday we are now a family of 4. My nephew who is 5 and starting school this next month has come to live with us. It’s for the best but man I wasn’t quite ready for a little one already in school. Plus we had to turn our guest room into a little boys room and my office into a nursery that is a work in progress. My computer room alternates between the living room and kitchen table at the moment. However, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Four years of marital bliss. Ok, most of it is blissful but of course like every other couple we have had our trying times. Now we don’t fight with one another but we do have agree to disagree moments. We left out sweet little one at home to be cared by loved ones while...

Skillet Apple Crisp

With the hustle and bustle of the summer days flying by so quickly, I finally made some time for myself in the kitchen to bake. I don’t bake much but when I do I find it to be a stress reliever. Well that is the case when the recipe works out and it’s edible....

Tomato Fan

We are officially off for the Wied Family Vacation. In May we met up with my side of the family for some fun in the sun outside of San Antonio. This go around will just be the three for vacation at the Woodlands Resort outside of Houston. It’s also a sentimental vacation because it...

Blueberry and Peach Kale Salad

I’m so happy that all of the farmers markets are in full swing and we finally made it to our local one this past Saturday. This one has only been open for the past couple of weeks but it’s already a bustling place to be on Saturday mornings. In fact we were running behind and...

Baked Chicken Taquitos

A lot has been happening in our household this summer and I hope to explain in more depth at a later date. With all this craziness during the week, it means I need meal ideas that take only a fraction of my time to make and photograph for the family. This past week we...
