Looks delicious and I love using the slowcooker but recipes like this make me nervous because my cooker will be on low for about 8 hours. (I plan on getting a new one with a timer eventually….) Would there be a way to adjust this so it would cook that long without burning? Would adding a few more ounces of beer fix that or is this something I should save for a weekend.

You could try turning the slow cooker to high to see if it will cook faster. There are also slow cooker liners at the grocery store and that might help with the burning.

  2. I sure hope your Wednesday is MUCH better – maybe the cookie recipe will magically reappear!

  3. Yikes, sounds like a tough day. At least your awesome chicken could cheer you up – I’m going to save it for when I have a tough day, too 🙂

  4. Oh man, I totally feel you. I deleted a recipe’s pictures the other week right before I was going to post it during vacation–not fun. And yesterday, my site was down all day due to Comcast issues.

Hope your Wednesday goes better!! 🙂

  5. Where has this been all of my life. Like for reals.

  6. Sorry about your building issues! That’s frustrating!
Love this chicken. Just the kind of meal I need more of!

  7. These sound amazing, and I just love that I can make them in the slow cooker!

  8. It’s like you live inside my head!! I’ll be over 5!

What type of beer did you use?

  13. Brenna says:

Hi there I’ll be making this today- will it still be tasty if I use Budweiser or Miller Genuine Draft? Thanks!

  14. Kaci says:

I didn’t know you guys were thinking about building. You need to talk to my builder! He has been great to work with! Let me know if you want his info.

  15. You poor thing. What a NIGHTMARE ugh. Hang in there!!!! Wish I could give you a hug (and bake those cookies for you!)

  16. Jenelle says:

Do you still taste the beer at all? Hate beer. If so could I use chicken stock and still get the good flavor?

    • azestybite says:

I don’t taste the beer and I would recommend and light beer. You could try substituting chicken stock but maybe do 6 ounces instead of 8 ounces of beer.

I’m sorry if I missed this but how many does this serve? I’m so excited to make this dish!! It sounds delicious!!

I love this recipe I’m trying to figure out how much beer I should use when making a double batch? There tend to be too much liquid at the end. I have always used Corona beer. Thanks so much
