I remember the first time I ever tried fish tacos while I was in college at a bar in Lubbock.  My first initial thought was those just can’t be good but I was SOOO wrong.  I love grilled and fried fish tacos.  You can switch out the flour tortillas for corn tortillas.  Also, the vegetable mixture I used can be found in your local grocery store.  ENJOY!!!

Fish Tacos – 5 servings

Ingredients:
5 flour tortillas
3 tilapia fillets
1 cup of red cabbage, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower mixture (bag found in grocery store)
For cream:
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic
1/3 cup light sour cream
1/2 tsp lime grinds
1/2 lime squeezed
1/2 chili powder
2 dashes of salt
Rub for Fillet:
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp seasoning salt
1/2 tsp salt

Preparation:
In food processor add all cream ingredients and mix until well blended and set aside
Heat a medium sauce pan with olive oil over medium heat; rub the fillets with the rub mixture on both sides
Cook each fillet on each side for about 3 minutes and then crumble the fillets
Cook for an additional minute
Heat the flour tortillas and add the cream, cabbage mixture, and then the sauce
Serve with chips and salsa

Fish tacos are one of my most favorite dishes! This looks amazing. My dad is a big fisherman…I need to get some fresh fillets from him so I can try cooking these up!

I felt the EXACT same way about fish tacos when I first saw them on a menu. I decided to try them, even though I knew I would hate them. Luckily though, I LOVED them. One of my favorite meals. :)

There are so many variations on fish tacos! I recently made some great fish tacos with battered fish, purple cabbage and a really great sauce. It’s one of my fave dishes period.

This was yummy! I applied a white onion, a few of very small sweet
peppers and a complete chunk of smoked salmon ( not lox).

I included some pink pepper and served it greater than corn pasta considering
I am gluten no cost. Absolutely awesome recipe!
