I have always been a huge reader. I can get so involved in books that I finish them usually in a couple of days because I can’t seem to put them down.
This past weekend I finished the book Where We Belong by Emily Griffin.
I absolutely loved her other books and couldn’t wait to dive into this one. It’s definitely not a lighthearted read with more of a serious tone. It had me crying within the first couple of chapters. I definitely don’t want to give up too many details of the book if you are planning on reading it.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
It’s based on a successful New Yorker adult named Marian and a teenager named Kirby. The chapters go back and forth between the two of them telling their side of the story and how their lives intertwine. Marian had to make a life long decision when she was just a teenager on whether or not to have a teen pregnancy. She made the ultimate decision to give up her baby for adoption. Kirby is the adopted girl who is having struggles trying to figure out who she really is and if she belongs with her current family. The book goes on to detail how their two worlds collide.
MY OPINION
It was definitely a great book, which I suppose goes without saying since I managed to finish it in about a day in a half. The ending was a little off to me but it definitely leaves things open for a sequel. I love how this book is able to tell the two sides of the story instead of just hearing one like most books. Where We Belong definitely kept my attention throughout the entire book and never once lost me.
If you like Emily Griffin or you are just looking for a good book I highly recommend Where We Belong! If you have read the book I would love to hear your opinion on it.
If you have any good book recommendations please let me know!
I’ve read all of Emily Giffin’s books too & her new one is definitely on my list!
As far as suggestions, I also love books by Jane Green & Sarah Jio.
As far as I remember, in the process of writing a dissertation or any other paper, analyzing literature and writing abstracts can take a lot of time and the result of the search and review won’t always be positive. I recommend learning more about these specialists who provide thesis writing services, as well as dissertations in general
