Trail Mix

The phone call has finally been made for your spa treatment that you’ve needed for the past year. You mentally prepare yourself for that one, two or three hours of complete relaxation with spa music in the background and oils being rubbed all over your sore spots. They lay the robe out with the black slippers and ask you to sit down by the crackling fireplace. You can read the local newspaper, read a magazine or just simply close your eyes to relax.

On the table beside you is hot tea, coffee, water infused with some fruit or vegetable and a trail mix. You are now in heaven until you walk out of the building ready to face the world head on and forget about those hours of relaxation.

Now we just need to make those quiet times more often and even in our own home. Today I’m sharing this 4 ingredient Trail Mix that is often seen at spas for a small, healthy snack to munch on. So whether it’s a hot bubbly bath or quiet time reading a book grab a bowl of this trail mix and a drink and get yourself in the right state of mind.

This Trail Mix is also a great healthy snack to have on hand when the kids get hungry.

Trail Mix


  • 1 cup de-shelled pistachios
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips


Mix everything and store in air tight container.
