I’m a huge candle fanatic. Between candles and kitchen supplies I’m pretty sure I could make us go broke. There is just something about coming home to a house that smells wonderful.
Ever since I can remember my mom would boil a pot of water and throw fruit peels into it and let it simmer. Our house would be filled with this wonderful aroma. Not sure why I am just now doing this to my home. We are always eating fruit and throwing away the peels. NEVER AGAIN! Well, never say never but I will try to keep them around to make my house smell good. It gets even better when you thrown the peels into the garbage disposal to help with that rotten smell.
Now go eat some fruit and make your house smell good.

How to Make Your House Smell Good
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- peels from 1 orange
- peels from 1 lemon
Instructions
Bring a small pot with water to a boil.
Add the rest of the ingredients and keep at a boil for 20 minutes.
Bring down the heat to a simmer for one hour, stir occasionally.
(Remove the cinnamon sticks and place the rest of the ingredients in garbage disposal.)
