Is there anything better than cookies? These Pecan Ball Cookies are perfect for the holidays and they are easy to make.
Every year the holiday season rolls around and all I want to do is bake. First, it was the Chocolate Crinkle Cookies and now I’m sharing these Pecan Ball Cookies. My husband and I both agree that these cookies remind us of Christmas time. Growing up I remember heading to my grandmother’s house around the holidays and when I walked through the door the aroma in the house was filled with freshly baked goodies. They ranged from kolaches (not pigs in the blanket), thumbprint cookies, brownies, lemon bars, chow mein noodle cookies, and these Pecan Ball Cookies.
It’s been SO LONG since I’ve made or tasted these Pecan Ball Cookies that I forgot just how good they taste. When the kids tried them out this past weekend, they said it reminded them of donut holes. (Maybe we eat way too many donuts.) These cookies are best out of the oven and rolled in sifted powdered sugar, not once but twice! They are soft, doughy cookies, but they have a bit of crunch with the added pecans. The powdered sugar gives them that extra sweetness with every single bite.
These cookies are perfect for the holidays, especially if you are wanting an excellent nostalgic Christmas recipe. If you are baking a tin of goodies for your co-workers, friends, or family members, these would be perfect for an edible Christmas gift.
