You could say that I’m a HUGE movie person. I love the thrillers, the comedies, the romantic ones, the actions and yes I even love the Disney movies. Disney just came out with a new movie this past Friday called The Hundred Foot Journey. This movie immediately caught my attention because its around food. I feel like I breath, eat and dream about food most of my days so why not go watch a movie about it too. Plus I absolutely LOVE Helen Mirren.
What is the movie about you ask?
In “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is a culinary ingénue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch. Displaced from their native India, the Kadam family, led by Papa (Om Puri), settles in the quaint village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France. Filled with charm, it is both picturesque and elegant – the ideal place to settle down and open an Indian restaurant, Maison Mumbai. That is, until the chilly chef proprietress of Le Saule Pleureur, a Michelin-starred, classical French restaurant run by Madame Mallory (Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren) gets wind of it.Link: http://100footjourneymovie.com

I really want to see this movie – and I wouldn’t mind winning the trip to Paris!
I’m still grumpy over the fact we don’t have World Markets here in New England. All of this food looks glorious and I can’t wait to see the movie!
