Today marks the first official day of grilled cheese month. Yes, there is such a thing and I’m super excited about it. I decided to host a grilled cheese party at my house to help kick it off.
It’s been a while since I’ve thrown a small dinner gathering at our house. This one was so incredibly easy and everyone got to make their own personal gourmet grilled cheese.
I teamed up with President cheese to discuss the “Art of Cheese.” It doesn’t get much better than just having a whole party dedicated to it. Just recently I fell in love with brie cheese. I’ve always avoided this cheese and now I’m trying to figure out why it’s almost taken me 30 years to love it. I wanted this cheese to be the main star following the bread, meats and fixings.
Grilled Cheese Party List:
- assortment of breads (my personal choice was a jalapeño cheese loaf)
- prosciutto
- baked bacon
- ham
- turkey
- salami
- Président® cut & wrap Brie wedge
- other cheeses
- pesto
- tomatoes
- spinach
- vegetable tray
- chips
- rondelé® by Président® 8 oz garlic & herbs
- diced watermelon
- Président® 8 oz regular feta chunk plain
Other items you could include
- Feta skewers
- salsa
- crab
- lobster
(My grilled cheese sandwich)
Everyone went down the line to prepare their sandwich and then went to our grilling station where Shaun’s dad was flipping and grilling the sammies.
This brie pesto bread is the perfect start to any grilled cheese sandwich. Now you just have to choose your fillings. Entertaining with your friends and family members can be fun and they will love a gourmet grilled cheese party!
