Sometimes you just need a good Classic Egg Salad Sandwich recipe. This one is simple to make and doesn’t require a lot of ingredients to make it.
Every few months or so my food cravings change. For a long while, I craved lobster rolls but I had to finally settle for a crab one instead. In the last month, it has changed to Egg Salad. I’m a huge fan of eggs but not once did I ever think that I would actually crave them.
Instead of waiting like I did for my lobster roll, I decided to make my own and settle the craving. Plus I believe I needed to make that addition to the site just in case my craving every returned or if I had a reader looking for that specific recipe. It is a classic.
I made my classic egg salad into a sandwich. You can simply leave out the everything bagel or place the egg salad on a bed of lettuce for a low carb option. I should have gone that route, but I also wanted to devour the bagel and it was only fitting that the classic egg salad went in between the toasted bagel pieces.
Other ingredients that you might want to include if you are wanting to spruce it up a bit include celery, celery salt, relish, dijon mustard and hot sauce. However, I think I will still stick with my classic egg salad version that is included below.
I would love to know if you make yours different or if you also have a classic recipe.
