Chia Yogurt Breakfast Bowl

Life with a newborn means late nights, early mornings, teething, personal time goes out the window and cravings hit 24/7. People always talk about what one might be craving during pregnancy but my cravings tend to hit when I bring the baby home from the hospital. This time around chocolate has been the one thing I can’t pass up. I can’t get enough of it and I’m still constantly waking up craving this stuff.

As you all know too much of it isn’t good for the wasteline. So instead of waking up to chocolate I’m trying to get better at incorporating fruit into my diet. We are a yogurt family so this was a fun morning breakfast lineup for us. Especially when you have two kiddos who constantly ask for Poptarts for breakfast.

Chia Yogurt Breakfast Bowl

For this recipe, I incorporated a Yoplait French Vanilla cup that I found at Wal-Mart with some of my favorite fruits to make this amazing Chia Yogurt Breakfast Bowl. Regular yogurt isn’t that appetizing by itself, but the kids didn’t hesitate to dive into this once all the different fruits were added to the bowl. And don’t forget to add some chia seeds and granola for a little extra crunch to the dish. This recipe is perfect for two people or you can all grab a spoon and share this Breakfast Bowl.

Now with a new breakfast option that doesn’t involve chocolate or bread, I’m hoping that my waistline will start going down. That means no more black stretchy pants or baggy shirts. If you happen to see me out in public in this type of clothing that just means we had a late start with the kids and I’m headed back home to change.
