In almost one week everyone will be prepping away for one of the largest meals of the year. It’s a time where we can reflect on the year and give thanks for everything that we have and be thankful for friends and family members.

This year we are staying close to home since our little one will only be about 3 weeks old at the time. The in-laws are cooking this year which just leaves me simply begging to bring something so that I feel like I can help out. I’m hoping that I can show my mother in-law just how easy these Cheesy Garlic Herb Crescents are and she will let me do my part and bring them for dinner.

These crescents have a minimal list of ingredients and from start to finish it takes about 15 minutes. It almost takes my oven more time to preheat than to make these croissants. The ingredients are butter, garlic, basil, parsley, cheese and Pillsbury crescents that I bought from my local Wal-Mart store. I contemplated making a wreath with the crescents but that meant more time creating and baking instead of spending quality time with family so unfortunately that idea lost out.

So this Thanksgiving leave the frozen rolls at the store and make these easy Cheesy Garlic Herb Crescents for the dinner table. I promise that they will become a new hit with the family and possibly a new tradition around the table.

Cheesy Garlic Herb Crescents

Cheesy Garlic Herb Crescents

Cheesy Garlic Herb Crescents

Yield: 8+ servings
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon chopped basil
  • 3 slices cheddar and mozzarella cheese blend
  • 1 can Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a bowl combine the butter, garlic, parsley and basil.  Stir until well combined.

Cut each cheese slice into thirds and then fold each strip in half.  Unroll the crescent dough and place a cheese piece on the larger portion of the perforated dough.  Roll each triangle piece up and place on a non-stick baking sheet.

Brush with the garlic herb butter and bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
