Caramel Macchiato Brownies

Caramel Macchiato Brownies

Now that I’ve got two kids in the house most days consist of the same questions over and over again. They include what are we doing today, what’s for supper and what’s for dessert? Most of these questions are asked during breakfast time and I have the faintest idea about the rest of the day.

This weekend I decided to break out the mixer to make some homemade Caramel Macchiato Brownies. I’m a sucker for caramel anything and the chance to add it to some chocolate is a win-win in my dessert book. Plus it crosses off a dessert for the kids. I might have even enticed them with these Caramel Macchiato Brownies so they would take a nap.

Caramel Macchiato Brownies

Nothing like waking up from a nap to have freshly baked brownies just waiting for you. Too bad I wasn’t included on that naptime.

Caramel Macchiato Brownies

I’ve made brownies in the past but this time I wanted them to really stand out and to have a specific flavor to them. I used International Delight’s Caramel Macchiato Iced Coffee to give me that exact flavor. After the batter was done mixing I added a little more caramel syrup to enhance the caramel flavoring. In all these were a great success and I just hope that they can last three to four days in our household.
