The other night while I was busy making my mashed cauliflower, Shaun was making our blackened tilapia. We absolutely both love food and its so great that we enjoy cooking together and trying out new recipes.
We are both avid seafood lovers and coming home from the beach this weekend I still wanted fish. Our local grocery store had fresh tilapia for sale and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.
It was really easy to make and it went great with the side! ENJOY!
Preparation:
In a medium size bowl combine the powder mixture
Dip each fillet into the butter and then sprinkle the powder mixture over both sides of the fish (approx. 1 Tbsp per fillet)
Place the fish into a nonstick skillet and cook on med/high for 2-3 minutes on each side
Plate and squeeze the lemon over the fish
*We added more of the powdered mixture to our fillets as you can see in the picture because we like spicy*
