Shrimp Fajita Bisque

Everyone knows that I am huge fanatic for mexican food.  Is it the caramelized onions, cheesy queso, marinated skirt steak, chile relleno, quesadillas, sopapillas?  Yes to all of this and so much more.  I seriously can’t get enough.  When I was little I would order the same thing every time we went to eat out.  Chicken quesadillas were my go to choice and it wasn’t until college that I started to venture out with enchiladas, fajitas and salads.

Shrimp fajitas are always a special treat because they are usually the most expensive item on the menu.  It’s very rare for anyone in my family to order them and that is maybe why I am craving them.  I’ve had lobster bisque a couple of times lately and that got me to thinking about mexican bisque.  Bingo…. shrimp fajita bisque!

Shrimp Fajita Bisque

All of my shrimp fajita favorites in a big bowl of creamy goodness.  Life just got way better.  The best part is that it actually tastes like a shrimp fajita sans the tortilla.

Now you need to go try it out!  You can get this recipe at SHEKNOWS.

And this right here is why I make soup in the summer time – who could live without this for 9 months of the year?

Heading over right now for this recipe…it looks so yummy! I think it’d be a great warmer weather soup…a bit lighter and I bet the shrimp would be great grilled, too!

Wow I love soup. This is sooooooooo up my alley. What a warm color to boot.
I have had shrimp bisque before, but it was lackluster looking in comparison
    to this one.

I’m kind of obsessed with this soup. Shrimp fajitas in a soup is kind of genius!
