When I was in elementary school I would go to my friends house and her mom would let us help make french bread.  I loved being able to braid the bread.  We would sit around for the bread to finish baking just so we could get a fresh piece.  This is a great bread recipe to make for the family and to get the kids involved.
ENJOY!
