I am BEYOND thrilled to let you know that I am a 2013 Brand Ambassador for H-E-B. This grocery store is basically my second home and I’m there on average at least twice a week. Ever since I moved to Houston this is the place to shop. I can get everything and anything that I need from groceries, fresh flowers, books, herbs and yes they even have patio furniture. The best part is that I get to tell you about the monthly Primo Picks! What is that you ask?
“Primo Picks are unique, tasty and cool products you may never have heard of or tried before. We’ve searched the world for one-of-a-kind products. Look for Primo Picks shelf tags in store. Some supplies limited, so get them while we got them!”
July is almost over but it’s not too late to go to your local H-E-B store to check out this month’s primo picks. I was able to complete our dinner last night with several of these picks. One cool item that just got released and H-E-B is the only carrier is Whataburger’s ketchup. Shaun is seriously obsessed with their spicy ketchup and I swear to you that we have 3 bottles of it in our pantry now.
This Greek olive oil is also pretty tasty and I love the packaging. Do you ever buy something just because the package is neat? I do all the time!
We paired three primo picks with our sliders. My side choice was sweet potato chips and salsa and Shaun had borracho beans. He was so impressed with these beans he is already talking about getting a couple of cans when we return to the grocery store. If you have a local H-E-B store in your area I highly recommend you check them out if you haven’t already.
What is your favorite thing about YOUR H-E-B?
Turn the grill on to medium/high heat.
Place the onion slices and butter into a piece of foil and roll it up so nothing can escape. Place on one side of the grill.
Sprinkle each side of the slider with the Worcestershire Pub seasoning. Oil the grill grates down. Put the sliders onto the grill and cook each side 7-8 minutes. Remove the sliders and pouch of foil from the grill.
Place the yogurt, avocado, salt, adobe sauce and lemon juice into a food processor and blend until smooth. Grate the cotija cheese.
To make the slider put one portion of the roll down followed by beef, onion slices, avocado sauce, cotija cheese and then other side of roll

These look great, and I can’t no to anything with “creamy avocado” in the title! 🙂
