Why is it that we can walk into a salon, sit down with a complete stranger and blab to the world about our lives? My hair appointments usually take about 2-3 hours and my stylist can get so much out of me in that amount of time it is crazy. It’s also fun to hear the stories that are coming from people sitting right next to me.
Why are we so willing to share?
A close friend can call me up and I will say everything is fine… the husband is good, the child is good, work is good and then I’ve got nothing to say for the next 30 minutes of the conversation. Yet, I tell a complete stranger all about my life and what I’ve been up to in the past 6 weeks since my last visit. She asks about my site and what all I’ve made and for who, which reminds me to make her some of this Christmas munch or something from my edible Christmas gifts list.
My local store carries the groceries out to your car if you have a lot. It’s against company policy to let you take them out yourself unless you can carry them in your arms. Some times I have the person who is wheeling out my cart 5 feet behind me and then on other days I have a chatty Kathy. I’m surprised in what all I can learn in just a 5-minute walk to my vehicle.
As I sit here at my computer I have to stop and think that I tell personal stories all the time to people who come to read my blog every day. Some just want the recipes and others actually take the time to see what I’m willing to share for the day.
If you enjoy my stories stay tuned for this next week…..

ENJOY ~ Meagan
A quick and easy holiday treat that will satisfy people of all ages.
Place the popped popcorn on a parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the candy all over the popcorn.
Melt the chocolate in a double broiler or in a microwave at 15 second increments. Place white chocolate and dark chocolate in separate icing bags. Drizzle the white chocolate over the top of the popcorn and mix with a spoon. Drizzle the chocolate and place the mixture in a deep large bowl to toss a couple of times to make sure all is coated with chocolate.
Place a clean sheet of parchment paper on the baking sheet and spread the popcorn back out to dry for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Store in a ziplock bag or air tight container.
*If you don’t have icing bags just use a ziploc bag and cut off a corner.

Love this virtual progressive dinner idea! (And I’m guilty of the hairdresser confidential, too — what is UP with that??!!)
Love the salty sweet combo. I always take out my own groceries. Drives me nuts to wait for someone to push out the cart. Having a handful of this Christmas munch might help improve my patience.
1-I blab to my stylist too
2-this munch is so fun and taaaaasty!
This would be so fun to have to snack on during the holidays.
Looks delicious! I didn’t realize you were in Lubbock. We lived up there for four years (both of my kids were born at Covenant). And, how cool that there is now an HEB up there…we always heard rumors it was coming! We’re back in central Texas now. So nice to get to know other Texas bloggers!! Cheers!
My daughter just LOVES adding things to popcorn and I’m sure this will be on her must make list real soon! Festive and fun, great idea.
Love a snack mix like this! Looking forward do the progressive dinner, those are so fun!
This Christmas Munch looks delicious, perfect for a Holiday party! 🙂
I want a whole bowl of this to snack on!
