You make look at the title and think is Meagan having some kind of kid flashback! Yes, I grew up in the late 80’s and the 90’s and loved my cabbage patch dolls. I even had a set of twin dolls that I took everywhere with me.
If I wanted to jump on the trampoline you better believe that they were right there jumping too.
Now I go into toy stores and I’m overwhelmed at the amount of toys kids have to choose. My niece has an American Girl doll and I remember going to the store a couple of years ago and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. You could eat with your doll in the store and they even had a doll salon where they could change up the hairstyles.
Do girls even play with barbies anymore???
You may ask why I am rambling on and on about my childhood and dolls these days, but when I think of this recipe all I can think of are my cabbage patch dolls.
I found a similar recipe the other day in an OLD paper cookbook with 4-H recipes. After checking out most of the ingredients I knew I had to make the stew even though the hot weather came back to Houston.
ENJOY!
